I was pleasantly surprised by the Spanish cycling paths and infrastructure. It may be as I've never been on holiday their with a bike product design project in mind but I wouldn't have pinned Spain to be the place for the cyclist, mainly owing to the speed and fearlessness of Spanish drivers. Yet, I found the closest town, which was on the sea front, had lots of cycle paths alongside the pedestrian ones. I found that although the Spanish seem to have have a lot of disputes between drivers, they are not bothered by cyclists. This may be because they like to overtake them at great speeds, but I felt there was respect between the cyclist and driver, which is unfortunately a barrier we see within the UK.
