Liz Marshall is a photographer and animal rights activist and photographer who documents stories of animals in captivity to become additions in a zoo, the food on our plates and the clothes on our back. What I love most about her images is, unlike other vegan photography, it is not graphic but in fact powered purely by emotion. Seeing the pain in an animals face, the sadness and fear in it's eyes is truly heart-breaking. At the very least, we can sympathize with these animals, but I believe we need to empathize. I think educating people will be more sustainable than forcing them to make change. At the end of the day, choice is a person's most powerful tool.
