In my previous post I mentioned how I am thinking about three of the design agendas since our presentations, my own and two others.
However, they each do not have equal importance in my thinking. It's more like this
My main focus is my initial design agenda, environmental & ecological design, with a great interest in biomimicry but more towards the functional side than the aesthetic one, which leads me onto the third design agenda: global/local. This is a very small part and one I may not completely commit to but I'm quite interested in traditional, natural methods of process, similar to Formafantasmas 'Earthly Vessels' series. I think into integrating sustainability into cultures is key - for example solar in parts of Africa. Although it may be most successful in this location, the social and cultural implications could prevent this success.
More to come.
